These days, people are often glued in front of their computers and laptops thanks to internet technology and social networks revolutionizing their lifestyle. And this is one factor which may affect a person’s optical health and this is where reading glasses come in. There are a couple of things that you have to take note of when it comes to reading glasses. The first is that there are two kinds of reading glasses.

  • Full Frames: Full frame reading glasses have the entire lens designed specifically with regard to what is prescribed by an ophthalmologist. They are often worn by people who take time in focusing on materials up close.
  • Half-Eye Reading Glasses: Half-eye reading glasses are significantly smaller and comparable to the one worn by Ben Franklin. It usually sits a bit lower on the nose and gives the wearer the benefit of being able to look down and up and over the glasses to see objects from far away.

On the other hand, people who are experiencing wearing glasses the first time are recommended to wear either one of these reading glasses as oppose to the bifocals or no-line progressive lenses which are meant for people who need distance and near correction.
